What we collect

  • For landlords: proof of identity and ownership, bank details and, where the law requires it, information about the source of funds.
  • For tenants and applicants: identity and right to rent documents, employment and income details, and references.
  • Basic technical information when you visit our website, such as your device type and IP address, which our web host records in its server logs.
  • Information from others, such as referencing companies, property portals and landlords.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where needed, with landlords and tenants, contractors, referencing providers, the deposit protection scheme (mydeposits), property portals, our software providers, insurers and professional advisers. We also share it with regulators and law enforcement where the law requires. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep most records for six years after our relationship ends. Anti-money laundering records are kept for five years after the end of the relationship, as the law requires. We delete or anonymise data when we no longer need it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
